Me. Dr. Ali ZBEEB

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Ali ZBEEB is an International Lawyer and University Professor, a Project Legal Expert and Consultant with United Nations, Int’l Legal Expert at the Union of Arab Banks and former IP Legal Trainer with Interpol. He is a specialist in international banking & finance regulations, corporate & commercial laws compliance, economic sanctions, economic integration, financial inclusion, Fintech, legal project management/strategy and Arbitration.

He has been a university professor in law and business for 20 years, and he is currently lecturing in Int’l Business and Law & Ethics at Lebanese University (MBA course).

Ali is currently the Managing Partner at “ZBEEB Law & Associates” (regional law firm founded in 1980 with global affiliations in over 30 cities), and the Founding President of “Development Association for Nurturing Arab Leadership & Innovation”(DANALI), an Arab NGO targeting community development through innovation and financial inclusion, were he found and initiated the “ADAM Initiative for Autism” dedicated to support individuals of the autism spectrum during the war.

At Beirut Bar Association, he is currently President of the Banking Affairs & Depositors Rights Committee; FVP of Justice Journal Committee, Advisor Anti-Money Laundering /CFT Committee; and Senior Member of BBA Admission Oral Examination Committee.

 

Ali was previously the Director of International Legal Affairs at Union of Arab Banks for half a decade, and Adviser on International Legal Affairs to Lebanese Minister of Labor, and Legal Adviser to Lebanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

In addition to being a professional training expert who provides technical assistance and advocacy to a wide range of entities in the MENA Region, and his pro-bono work on financial inclusion with the Higher Council of Childhood, Ali serves as legal adviser and counsel to over 50 multinational entities worldwide including regional banks academic institutions, NGOs and commercial entities in the fields of banking & finance /construction/ insurance/ logistics/ healthcare/ pharmaceutical / real estate and other fields, mainly in USA, UK, EU, West Africa, South America, Malaysia, Turkey, GCC and the MENA Region.

He represented Lebanon (Ministry of Youth/ Ministry of Justice/ Beirut Bar Association) worldwide including but not limited to IMF/WB Annual Meetings in DC, Int’l Tribunal in Hague and many more, gaining a wide network of global connections.

He has publications in int’l journals and awaits publication of 2 books “Handbook on Islamic Finance” & “New Business Law”.  

Ali regularly appears on local, regional & global media to raise awareness on int’l compliance, regulatory and economic matters.

As an experienced public speaker, he continues to travel around the world to actively participate in high level events in fields of banking regulations, corporate laws, economic integration & financial inclusion, to lecture and present in various related topics. In addition, he is a regular writer for prominent Arab newspapers in MENA region on economic, banking and legal matters.

In 2018, he co-drafted the ‘BBA Lawyers Handbook on Combating Money Laundering & Terrorism Financing’, and in 2016 he drafted for MoSA the ‘Guidance Handbook for Financial Institutions to offer Youth Specific Financial Products & Services’.

His achievements include the 2016 feature in Thomson Reuters’ “10 years of Evolving Regulations” (a distinct publication issued once a decade), and the 2017 announcement as Winner of the UK based ‘2017 International Advisory Experts Award’, followed by his selection as the Winner of “2018 International Arbitration Advisory Experts Award – Lebanon”. Most recently, he was also chosen as the Winner of the “2019 International Advisory Experts Award” organized by Int’l Advisory Experts.

Ali, who has excellent command in Arabic and English, holds a Bachelor of Law from Lebanese University, Master in Banking & Finance Laws (LLM), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and a PhD in Law (in Regulation of Economic Integration), from Queen Mary -University of London. He is based in Beirut and rotates regularly between UK, US & GCC along his continuous travels.

Me. Hussein Zbeeb

Co-Founder

Hussein Zbeeb is a seasoned legal professional with 40 years of experience in banking law and corporate legal affairs. He is the Former Treasurer of the Board at Beirut Bar Association where he served for 6 years, and is currently the Director of Arab Affairs at BBA.

He is also in charge of BBA investigations and interrogations related to claims against lawyers by virtue of Presidential Delegation.

As an active member at the Arab Lawyers Union, he actively participates in its meetings, and has consistently contributed to the legal community in Lebanon and the MENA region.

With an extensive background in the banking sector, Hussein was the Regional Director for MEBCO Bank for 15 years, where he provided invaluable legal guidance in various banking transactions and regulatory matters. In addition, he led the Legal & Compliance Department at Finance Bank for 21 years (1998 to 2019), overseeing legal operations, safeguarding compliance, and assessing risk on local, regional and global levels.

His deep understanding of banking & financial regulations, and legal compliance has made him a trusted advisor in the industry, and his role as a Legal Banker for 40 years has enabled him to navigate complex legal and financial landscapes with exceptional expertise.

In addition to his leadership roles, Me. Hussein has built a reputation for his integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking in dealing with corporate legal challenges. His commitment to upholding legal standards within the legal and financial sectors is reflected in his ongoing work at the BBA and his senior advisory role at the Firm.

Fluent in Arabic and English, he holds a Bachelor of Law from the Lebanese university and remains committed to professional development, maintaining a proactive approach toward legal issues in the evolving sectors.

Me. Hadi Zbeeb

Me. Hadi Zbeeb was admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 1998 which was the date of joining “ZBEEB Law & Associates”, where he is currently a Senior Associate, leading the Litigation practice at the Firm.

As a lawyer with over 25 years of experience, he has is known to perform under pressure and in the most challenging situations, as an on-ground “doer”.

Specializing in key practice areas in Lebanese Law such as Corporate Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense, Real Estate, Family Law, Hadi has represented individuals, businesses, and organizations with unwavering dedication, with a very high success rate.

In addition to his legal practice, Me. Hadi is an active member of the Beirut Bar Association and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.

Known for his client-centered approach, Me. Hadi remains a trusted advisor for those seeking legal guidance and representation. His quarter of a century in the profession is a testament to his resilience, expertise, and dedication to achieving justice.

Hadi holds a Bachelor degree of Law and an M1 from Lebanese University from which he graduated in 1997.

Me. Reda Saleh

Senior Associate

Me. Saleh is a legal attorney at Zbeeb Law & Associate since 2008 whereby he became a Senior Legal Associate in 2014. By delegation from the Firm, he once assumed the role of the Legal Communication Attache at the Union of Arab Banks.

With over 15 years of professional experience in managing a diverse portfolio of legal services he has developed expertise across various legal sectors including corporate, commercial, financial crimes, penal, labor & employment, personal status, and real estate sectors.

Me. Saleh’s extensive experience has enabled him to develop exceptional communication and negotiation skills, allowing him to handle complex cases with precision and efficacy in various legal sectors. His dedication to professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering adherence to ethical standards have solidified his status as a trusted legal professional.

As a Senior Associate, Me. Saleh plays a critical role in supporting the Firm’s team of lawyers, providing mentorship and guidance to junior associates. He oversees complex litigation cases, ensuring that the Firm’s clients receive comprehensive and effective legal support.

His role involves managing a diverse portfolio of cases, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, financial crimes, labor disputes, real estate transactions, and personal status law. His strategic insights and deep understanding of both Lebanese and international legal systems have been crucial in guiding clients through complex legal challenges.

Me. Saleh’s academic foundation includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Mergers and Acquisitions, Trade, and Tax Law from the Lebanese American University, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Lebanese University. This robust academic journey complements his extensive professional experience, providing him with a deep understanding of both Lebanese and international legal systems.

He works closely with the Managing Partner and collaborates with prominent lawyers externally.

Me. Farah Al Jazzar

Associate
Member of the Executive Legal Team

Farah Al Jazzar joined “ZBEEB Law & Associates” in October 2021 as a Legal Intern / researcher, and was admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 2022, following which she became an Associate Lawyer and Member of the Firm’s Executive Legal Team, and is delegated by the Managing Partner as a focal point with foreign affiliate law firms, including US, UK, France, Australia and Africa.

She is delegated by the President of the BBA Banking Affairs and Depositors Rights Committee (BADRC) as Assistant Secretary for BADRC meetings. She was also a part of the Firm’s delegation to the European Union for UNDP Maritime Project, during which she gained experience in producing project proposals, conducting legal research and policy analysis within international framework.

Farah continuously expands her expertise across various legal domains including Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Banking & Finance Laws, Commercial & Corporate Laws and Penal Laws.

Along with her dynamic expertise in performing and producing comprehensive Due Diligence & Compliance Check Reports, Commercial/Employment/Consultancy Agreements, her experience extends to immigration matters; where she has led extensive legal research at the Firm related to Foreign Immigration Laws (US, UK, Canada, Brazil …) and communication with foreign embassies.

As a trilingual lawyer, she holds a Bachelor Degree of Law, and a Master Degree in Private Law (M1 and M2) from the Filière Francophone de Droit at the Lebanese University, where she developed a robust understanding of Lebanese and French legal systems. She also obtained certificates from UNODC and EUIPO, and participates in AML/CFT events, organized by international bodies such as FATF and IEDJA.

Farah is also engaged in humanitarian work as a volunteer at the Development Association for Nurturing Arab Leadership & Innovation (DANALI) supporting special needs individuals through the “Adam Initiative for Autism”.

She is described by the Managing Partner as a vital element at the Firm and a reliable dedicated and resourceful professional.

Me. Maya Al Hawi

Associate
Member of the Executive Legal Team

Maya Al Hawi has joined “ZBEEB Law & Associates” in 2017 as a Legal Intern and Office Manager, and worked her way up while pursuing her graduate studies, until her admission to the Beirut Bar Association in 2022, and is currently an Associate Lawyer and Member of the Firm’s Executive Legal Team. She got acquainted with a diversity of legal procedures before Lebanese courts, under the direct supervision and management of the Managing Partner.

Maya was delegated by the Managing partner for a number of clients in the fields of security, cyber security and healthcare, whereby she was responsible for the day-to-day legal coordination of the relationship. She also acted as a coordinator between the Firm’s and FAO (Project on Legislative Amendments for Agricultural Technical Schools in Lebanon), and has assisted the Firm in on-ground research on UNDP project in collaboration with EU on Maritime Laws in Lebanon.

Maya has also served as an Instructor at AVSI NGO, supporting students, ensuring instructional effectiveness and use of best teaching practices, monitoring student progress and submitting reports.

In addition to her legal practice, Maya has performed significant tasks which have enriched her professional portfolio due to her organizational abilities, such as being delegated by the Managing Partner as focal point with French Judges during their visit to Lebanon, and has assisted with the arrangement of the official visit of Harvard University delegation to the Firm.

Along her legal work, she is dynamically engaged in humanitarian work as a volunteer at the Development Association for Nurturing Arab Leadership & Innovation (DANALI) through the “Adam Initiative for Autism” and is currently DANALI’s Secretary.

Maya has obtained her Bachelor of Law and her Mastera in Private Law from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK).

She is described by the Managing Partner as a solid communicator and  problem solver.

Me. Mouhamad Al DIKA

Associate
Member of the Executive Legal Team

Mouhamad Al Dika was admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 2021 in parallel to joining “ZBEEB Law & Associates”, where he is currently an Associate Lawyer and a member of the Firm’s Executive Legal Team.

He got acquainted with a diversity of legal procedures before the Lebanese courts, under the direct supervision and management of the Managing Partner of the Firm since 2021, and is continuously building expertise in Banking & Finance, Corporate & Commercial and Real Estate Laws. He is often delegated by the Firm to conduct work related to clients in the field of real estate law and corporate law, and has traveled abroad on missions for that purpose. 

Mouhamad actively participates in BBA initiatives and currently holds the position of VP of the Apprentice Lawyers Committee, and is a Research Assistant at the Banking Affairs & Depositors Rights Committee. He is also dynamically engaged in humanitarian as a volunteer at the Development Association for Nurturing Arab Leadership & Innovation (DANALI) supporting individuals with special needs through the “Adam Initiative for Autism”, as well as volunteering at “Beirut Bi Kheir” NGO supporting displaced people during war time.

In addition to participating in a diversity of legal events organized by international bodies such as the UNESCO and UNICEF, he attended several courses on International Criminal Law and Procedures (T.M.C Asser Institute) and (Special Tribunal of Lebanon), and participated in various lectures related to mediation including the first competition of mediation held in Lebanon at USJ organized by Centre Professional de Mediation.

 

Mohamad is a trilingual lawyer (Arabic, French and English), holds a Bachelor degree of Law since 2019, and a Master in Private Law since 2021, from Beirut Arab University. 

He is described by the Managing Partner as a real team player and a committed professional.

Me. Yasmina Ballout

Member of the Executive Legal Team

Yasmina Ballout joined ZBEEB Law & Associates in 2020 as a legal researcher, prior to her admission to the Beirut Bar Association in 2021. Since joining the Firm, Yasmina has gained substantial experience in contract law, regulatory compliance, due diligence and dispute resolution.

She has assisted the Managing Partner in high-profile legal research related to the Expert Evidence Report on the Principle of Good Faith in Performance of Contractual Obligations, and which was submitted to the High Court of Justice in London. Yasmina also handles a wide range of legal tasks, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, employment agreements, and representing clients before various courts and judicial bodies.

Yasmina was delegated by the Firm to manage the relationship with clients in the field of Fintech, where she supported in corporate structures and regulatory frameworks and served as a Legal Coordinator for a fintech company based in the UAE, working closely with regulators and assisting in corporate compliance matters, as well as the incorporation of subsidiaries in the region.

Yasmina was previously actively involved in the BBA, where she assisted in the note-taking at Depositors’ Rights Committee. She has also assisted in organizing and documenting key discussions during an official BBA meeting with the IMF delegation in Lebanon.

She volunteers with the Development Association for Nurturing Arab Leadership & Innovation (DANALI), through the “ADAM Initiative for Autism”.

Yasmina is committed to ongoing professional development, currently preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) to further enhance her qualifications and broaden her legal expertise.

Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Yasmina holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and a Master’s degree in Public Law (M1) from Saint-Joseph University, Beirut. She has furthered her legal knowledge through specialized courses in international public law and international economic law.

She is described by the Managing Partner as detailed oriented.

Me. Rabih Omayrat

Associate

Rabih Omayrat has joined ZBEEB Law & Associates in 2023 as an Associate Lawyer, upon his addition to the Beirut Bar Association in 2023.

He is a senior expert in sports law, and was delegated by the Firm to coordinate with the Firm’s Italian Affiliate with regards to Oltré, a mega project initiated by the Italian Football Association (Serie A) to foster the relationships and build bridges between the Italian Football leagues and other Arab football leagues. Upon the initiation of the project Rabih was actively participated as he local coordinator with Oltré’s Italian lawyer in order to facilitate the communications with the Lebanese Stakeholders.

Over the years he has built expertise in Real Estate and Personal Status Laws and since joining the Firm he has expanded knowledge, under the direct supervision and management of the Managing Partner of the Firm, as he is often delegated by the Managing Partner to conduct work related to clients in the field of real estate sector.

Rabih is a FIFA accredited international Referee since 2012, where he travels around the world to run international football games in official tournaments. He is also engaged in humanitarian work during challenging times as a volunteer at the Development Association for Nurturing Arab Leadership & Innovation (DANALI) supporting individuals with special needs through the “Adam Initiative for Autism”.

Me. Omayrat who holds a Bachelor degree of Law and an M1 in Private Law, from Lebanese University.

Me. Nour Alameh

LLB (Leb), M1 (Leb), M2 (Can).

Associate

Nour first joined “Zbeeb Law and Associates” in mid-2023 as a legal researcher. In November 2024, she was called into the Beirut Bar Association as an apprentice Lawyer.

Since joining the Firm, Nour assisted the Managing Partner in most corporate and commercial legal errands. She was able to hon her expertise in corporate drafting by assisting in reviewing, drafting legal documents which includes Commercial Contracts, Employment Contracts and Consultancy Agreements.

In addition to that, Nour has worked on several projects and reports notably in the field of immigration law, and has performed extensive legal research and produced legal reports, legal research studies, and standard due diligence research on designated matters.

She has participated in several meetings and drafted minutes of meeting during executive meetings with clients.

Furthermore, and given that Nour comes from a family that has a medical background and business (Hospital), Nour was delegated by the Managing Partner to be the main focal point to coordinate and assist a client of the Firm by providing legal assistance in the medical law field, notably in the establishment of medical projects and the production the legal documents.

Nour, who is a bilingual lawyer (Arabic, English) holds a Bachelor degree of Law since 2023 from Beirut Arab University, and is currently perusing her Master degree in Arbitration-Private Law at Universite La Sagesse.

Nadine Kanso

Associate

Nadine has been on the team for almost 15 years, as she has joined Zbeeb Law & Associates in 2010, as a legal assistant. She then qualified to assume the position of Office Manager and is currently the Finance coordinator in the Firm.

Nadine works closely with the Founder Me. Hussein Zbeeb and provide administrative and legal assistance.

She performs major research tasks for the Associates and provides assistance on various legal matters especially in rental agreements and real estate contracts.

Along her work, she is engaged in humanitarian work and extracurricular activities especially during challenging times she is a volunteer at the Development Association for Nurturing Arab Leadership & Innovation (DANALI) supporting children with special needs through the “Adam Initiative for Autism”.

Nadine holds a Bachelor degree of Law and an M1 from Lebanese University, and has graduated in 2005.

Ms. Lynn Nehme

LLB (Pen)

Junior Research Assistant

Lynn joined “ZBEEB Law and Associates” in 2022 as a junior Legal Research Assistant.

Since joining the firm, she has demonstrated a strong focus on corporate and commercial law, and has honed her skills in legal research, contract drafting and legal analysis, with a particular emphasis on reviewing commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, and corporate governance documents.

Lynn is committed to professional growth and is continuously seeks to enhance her legal expertise.

Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Lynn is soon graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Universite Saint Joseph.
